We have been providing driver education to the Wabash Valley since 1993. All instructors are state certified and are committed to your students and to helping them learn safe driving habits that can last a lifetime. We are AAA Approved and a member of the AAA Driving School Network.
Our goal is to provide a fun atmosphere for learning, while encouraging students to understand the responsibilities of owning and operating a motor vehicle. Our classroom experience includes relevant discussions concerning roadway rules, laws and proper procedures for operating a vehicle in our community and beyond.
We understand the busy and sometimes difficult schedules of teens and their families, that is why we provide multiple classroom sessions throughout the year and flexible scheduling of drive times. Our state certified courses consist of 30 hours of classroom and a minimum of 6 hours behind the wheel.
Sammers offers a State Certified Driver Education course for teens which includes 30 hours of traditional classroom instruction and 6 hours behind the wheel instruction. The fee for this course is $375. ($50 non-refundable filing fee included)
For students who are unable to attend a scheduled classroom session we offer registration with "AAA How To Drive Online" and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction once the student has completed 10 hours of online course instruction. The fee is $375. (Non-refundable) The online course is timed.
We also offer private driving lessons to adults, 18 years and older. This includes 4 hours of behind the wheel instruction. The fee for these lessons is $240.
Once a student has completed a state certified program, 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel with us, and 50 hours of practice driving required by the BMV they are eligible to complete a "Driving Skills Test" with one of our certified road test examiners. The fee for this test is $30 and can be scheduled within a month of license eligibility.
