Online Driver Education

APPLICATION

We understand that attending a classroom session may not always fit into the family calendar. The BMV has approved online driver education classes for this purpose.

A student may not complete more than 3 hours per calendar day. The course can be completed in as little as 10 days, but must be completed within 180 days.

You may register with us to complete an online course and the required 6 hours of driving with us for a fee of $395 (non refundable). Login information and a password will be e-mailed directly to you. 

If you have enrolled and completed an online program through an outside source, you may complete the 6 hours of behind the wheel training at Sammers Driving School. The fee is $300 (non-refundable). Please provide us with an application for enrollment, the required fee and a copy of the completion certificate from the online provider. 

Once the student has completed the first 10 hours of the online course we will issue a CDE form in order for the student to obtain a driver education permit. We can then begin driving with the students while they are also completing the online course.

The BMV requires that a students permit be invalidated if they do not successfull complete driver education. 

We provide both classroom and driving sessions at our Vigo County location.

We also provide drive sessions at Northview High School in Clay County or South Vermillion High School in Vermillion County.
